BELLINHAM, Wash. – Lehmann’s Maytag Home Appliance Center, one of Bellingham’s oldest family owned stores, will be changing hands at the end of the month.

Third-generation owner Terry Lehmann has announced he’s retiring and selling the store to Judd & Black, another family-owned retailer with five locations in Snohomish and Skagit counties.

Judd & Black will begin operations at the store on October 1.

Lehmann says it should be a smooth transition.
