EVERETT, Wash. – The local Boeing machinists union will get a chance to vote on a new contract proposal to bring the 777X production to Washington.
The International Machinist Union is forcing the vote on Boeing’s revised contract offer.
The original contract was voted down by a 2-to-1 margin last month.
Twenty-two other states have submitted bids for production of the aircraft.
Local union leadership is recommending members reject the offer, saying it’s too similar to the original proposal.
The vote is scheduled for January 3.
