Local pharmacist risks losing license for drug use

KGMI News Reporting

A local pharmacist could lose his license to sell prescription drugs in Washington State after taking pills for his own personal use.

Jatinder Bhatia worked as a relief pharmacist at Fairhaven Pharmacy between August and September last year.

Charging documents from the state Department of Health show Bhatia stole pain killers, sedatives, xanax and viagra during that time.

He was caught at the border on September 19 last year in possession of drugs that he admitted were taken from the pharmacy.

Bhatia has been previously disciplined for stealing narcotic cough suppressants as a pharmacy intern back in 2001.
