Local representatives at the ready to answer health plan questions

WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. – State health care representatives are ready to take your calls on the Washington Health Plan Finder hotline.

Dorothy Bradshaw with the Whatcom Alliance for Health Advancement says now is the time to get any questions answered.

The earlier a person signs up, the faster their health plan benefits kick in.

Individuals making up to $45,000 a year and a family of four making up to $94,000 a year may qualify for financial help.

Free and low-cost coverage is also available.

The Health Plan Finder hotline is open 7:30 am to 8:00 pm at 1-855-923-4633.

There is information online at www.healthplanfinder.org.

There are three health exchange partner locations in Whatcom County for in-person advice, including the Whatcom Alliance for Health Advancement, the Interfaith Community Health Center and the Mount Baker Planned Parenthood.
