LYNDEN, Wash. – A natural gas leak that forced more than a hundred people from their homes in Lynden yesterday evening has been repaired.
Lynden Police Chief Jack Foster says a construction crew working on a bridge replacement project at 7th and Main struck the gas line, causing the leak.
Lynden police and firefighters blocked off a quarter mile radius around the leak.
Cascade Natural Gas crews were able to restore gas to eight customers overnight and people were allowed back into their homes.
