LYNDEN, Wash. – The Lynden Rodeo will now be in the same week as the Northwest Washington Fair.
Rodeo attendance numbers have lagged in recent years, making the event no longer financially sustainable on it’s own.
Fair manager Jim Barron says making it the same week as the fair will boost attendance.
The Northwest Washington Fair’s Board of Directors voted this week to move the rodeo to fair week.
The two day Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association event will replace previous years’ motocross, monster truck and dirt bike event.
