BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Several classrooms are still soaked, but Meridian High School is back in session today.

A broken pipe over the weekend closed the new $25 million school.

Water leaked into seven classrooms.

Teachers are holding classes in different areas around the campus today.

Principal James Everett says professional cleaners started working at the school on Saturday evening and have made a lot of progress.

Temperatures were below freezing when the pipe burst, but school administrators aren’t exactly sure what happened.
