CONCRETE, Wash. – Searchers have recovered the body of a Concrete man who went missing last week in the north Cascades backcountry.
Fifty-one year old Brian Proctor was separated from his hiking partner August 4 in rough and snowy terrain near the Lone Jack Mine.
Whatcom County Sheriff’s Deputy Mark Jilk says rescue volunteers along with friends and family found his body Saturday.
Search and rescue crews looked for Proctor all last week on the ground and by helicopter.
He was found buried under snow in the Twin Lakes area about 25 miles east of Glacier.
His body was recovered and released to the county medical examiner to determine the exact cause of his death.
