GLACIER, Wash. – Permits are now available to cut your own Christmas tree in the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest.
Permits are available to buy starting today through Christmas Eve.
Cutting areas are located in the eastern portions of national forest lands in several counties, including Whatcom.
Permits start at $10 for trees up to 12 feet and $20 for taller trees.
The permits are for this year only and are nonrefundable.
Permits can be bought locally at the Glacier Public Service Center on weekends from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
