Sakuma Brothers migrant farm workers passed out boycott information to shoppers in front of The Market on Lakeway Drive yesterday.
The workers have negotiated off and on with farm management since July over wages.
They say Ryan Sakuma broke an agreement last week.
Ellis Werkema of Lynden came to show her support:
Workers hope a boycott on the farm’s berries will spur the Sakuma Brothers to sign a written contract that guarantees them fairer wages, better treatment, a grievance process, seniority and better living conditions.
They also passed out information in front of grocery stores in Mount Vernon and Seattle.
