TACOMA, Wash. – Fire departments and police are bracing for a new hazard; fires started by people trying to extract oil from marijuana.

There have already been two of these fires in Pierce County this year.

In January, a house in Tacoma burned when the propane someone used to extract cannabis oil caught fire.

And in February, two people in Lakewood were hurt when they set off an explosion in their apartment, leading to criminal charges.
