BELLINGHAM, Wash. – The official results of the Ski to Sea race are in and the team from Barron Heating is the winner for the third year in a row.
Barron Heating completed the race in 5:42:02.
Team Aeromech came in second place at 5:46:42.
Ski to Sea race manager Mel Monkelis says 470 teams competed in this year’s race.
He says a few finishing times didn’t get recorded in the middle legs of the race, possibly because some of the racers wore their timing chips underneath their clothes.
Race officials shortened the mountain bike leg by about a quarter mile on race day because of the rainy weather.
