BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Whatcom County health officials are warning people that a person with measles recently shopped at the Bellis Fair Mall and at Costco on Meridian Street in Bellingham.
The health department says people who were at the Costco on June 22 between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. and at the Bellis Fair Mall on the same day between noon and 4:00 p.m. could have been exposed to the measles virus.
Measles is contagious and is spread by respiratory and airborne droplets.
Officials say before a rash develops, symptoms usually start with a fever, runny nose, cough, and red, watery eyes.
