BELLINGHAM, Wash. – It’s time to get creative with gingerbread houses for the Bellingham Holiday Port Festival.

This year’s theme is landmarks.

All entries will be on display during the festival at the Bellingham Cruise Terminal December 6 through 8.

Other free festival activities include performances from local bands, choirs and dance troupes, as well as fire truck and horse-drawn carriage rides.

Entries don’t have to be houses or even be gingerbread; they can be almost anything, provided they are visibly edible.

Most entries will be entered into a silent auction benefiting the local Mount Baker Chapter of the Red Cross.
