BELLINGHAM, Wash. – As votes continue to be counted, the Port of Bellingham races remain too close to call, but the leaders are still hanging on.

Dan Robbins overtook Renata Kowalczyk’s early lead yesterday and is still pulling ahead.

They’re separated by about 800 votes.

Mike McAuley received about 100 more votes in his favor to keep his lead over Ken Bell.

They are separated by about 1,000 votes.

There are few changes in the Whatcom County Council races, with the four progressive candidates maintaining their leads.

The next round of results will be released this afternoon.

There are still roughly 8,000 ballots left to count.
