Reports: 12 Pro baseball players accept 50 game bans in Biogenesis Investigation

(New York, NY) — Several pro baseball players are reportedly accepting 50-game bans for allegedly using performance enhancing drugs. Reports indicate the list of players includes Texas Rangers outfielder Nelson Cruz, Detroit Tigers shortstop Jhonny Peralta and San Diego Padres shortstop Everth Cabrera. The players have links to Florida anti-aging clinic Biogenesis. Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez is expected to receive a stiffer ban.

“A-Rod” is expected to be suspended for the remainder of this season and all of next season. He’s also said to be making his season debut tonight for the Yanks after missing the first half of the season due to undergoing hip surgery. Rodriguez will reportedly be allowed to play while he appeals the ban.
