Richardson brings power to Colts run game

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Colts running back Trent Richardson already has added an edge to his team. And he’s still learning.
The Colts have leaned heavily on quarterback Andrew Luck since drafting him in 2012, but they have adjusted their identity a bit and become more of a power running team the past two weeks since adding Richardson in a trade with the Cleveland Browns.
Richardson says he understands the game plans, but he’s still learning the playbook. Though he has rushed for 95 yards and two touchdowns in Indy, he has averaged just 2.9 yards per carry.
Offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton called Richardson a key part of the offense and says he isn’t concerned about the numbers with a game against Seattle this weekend.
