SPOKANE, Wash, – A janitor accused of mailing poison-laced letters to a judge is due in court today.
Matthew Buquet is scheduled for a bail hearing in Spokane federal court.
Prosecutors say he mailed two letters containing ricin to a federal judge.
Postal Service workers found the poison during routine screening earlier this month.
Busquet could be sentenced to ten years in prison and fined a quarter-of-a-million dollars if convicted.
