KGMI News Reporting
By Joe Teehan

BLAINE, Wash. - A Blaine School District bus loaded with students was broadsided by a car near Birch Bay this morning, but no kids were hurt.

The State Patrol says a car driven by a 38 year old Blaine man T-boned the bus at the intersection of Blaine and Alderson Roads at about 7:45 a.m.

The driver and his female passenger in her 20’s were both seriously injured and were transported to Peacehealth St. Joseph Medical Center in Bellingham.

No one on the bus was injured.

Troopers say drugs or alcohol may have been involved.

Drivers should expect the road to be blocked for some time while the investigation continues.
