Renton, WA (Sports Network) – The Seattle Seahawks placed rookie defensive tackle Jesse Williams on injured reserve.
The 6-foot-3, 325-pound Williams, who was selected in the fifth round of April’s draft, has been bothered by a knee problem throughout training camp.
Additionally, Seattle terminated the contract of wide receiver Brett Swain and released former Meridian High School and Washington State tight end Andrei Lintz, as well as tight end Jameson Konz, linebackers Kyle Knox and Craig Wilkins, wide receiver Perez Ashford, defensive tackle Martin Parker and long snapper Kyle Nelson.
