(Seattle, WA) — The Seahawks are leaving the door open for Percy Harvin to return to the playing field this season. Seattle has placed the receiver on the reserve physically unable to perform list with a hip injury. The 25-year-old wideout will remain off the team’s official roster through at least Week Six. The Seahawks will then have five weeks to activate Harvin for practice purposes. Once activated, Seattle will then have three weeks to put him on the 53-man roster or place him on injured reserve for the rest of the season.
Along with Harvin, defensive lineman Greg Scruggs and cornerback Tharold Simon were also placed on the PUP list, while linebacker Korey Toomer went on the non-football injury list. With the moves the Seahawks reached the 75 man roster limit.
Seattle wraps up the preseason on Thursday, August 29th versus Oakland. You can hear the Seahawks and the Raiders on KPUG AM 1170 The Sports Leader starting with the pregame show at 5:00pm. The Hawks open the regular season on September 8th on the road visiting the Panthers.
