SEATTLE, Wash. – San Francisco tops “Travel + Leisure” magazine’s list of America’s “snobbiest” cities, but Seattle is ranked in the top five.
The publication says its criteria to determine the snobbiest cities include “a reputation for aloof and smarty-pants residents, along with high-end shopping and highbrow cultural offerings like classical music and theater.”
Seattle is ranked fifth on the list, tied with Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Travel + Leisure says tourists who may feel “out of step” with Seattle’s coffee connoisseurs and tech-savvy early-adapters should visit the Museum of Flight and enjoy the city’s view of the Puget Sound.
