Sehome wins tiebreaker to advance to district playoffs

The Sehome football team is heading to the postseason for the first time since 2000. The Mariners edged Anacortes 13-to-10 Saturday night at Sedro-Woolley High School in a three-way Kansas City tiebreaker to advance to the 2A district playoffs next week.

Daniel Ziegler ran for two touchdowns in the Sehome victory. In beating Anacortes, who knocked off Burlington earlier Saturday night, the Mariners earned the Northwest Conference number 3 seed into the district playoffs. Sehome will play at Lakewood Friday, November 8th.

The Mariners wrapped up the regular season with a record of 4-and-5, going 3-and-4 in NWC play.
