MOUNT VERNON, Wash. – The Skagit River bridge’s temporary span will get its second monthly check-up early Saturday morning.
Dave Chesson with the Washington State Department of Transportation says there will be minor delays southbound and northbound on the span from 5:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
WSDOT had to close parts of the span for a couple hours last weekend to make emergency repairs when an L-joint came loose and popped a couple car tires.
The permanent replacement for the span will be slid it into place in early September.
