OLYMPIA, Wash. – There is still no agreement on how to deal with climate change from Republicans and Democrats in Olympia
A bipartisan group of lawmakers created by the legislature has already missed a deadline to deliver its recommendations.
Republican Senator Doug Ericksen of Ferndale wants more time to understand the costs of carbon-reducing proposals.
He says the group should meet for another year.
Democrat Senator Kevin Ranker of Orcas Island says the panel has enough information.
Ranker says they need to move ahead.
