OLYMPIA, Wash. – The latest state revenue forecast shows Washington taking in more cash than previously anticipated.
The Washington State Economic and Revenue Forecast Council has increased its general-fund revenue projections for the current biennium by $345 million.
Executive director Steve Lerch says a continued slow improvement in the economy is expected, along with an expanding housing market and higher home prices.
General Fund collections are now projected to total $33 billion for the current two-year budget cycle, which started July 1.
