OLYMPIA, Wash. – State revenue forecasters say Washington lawmakers will have hundreds of millions more dollars to spend over the next two years.
The new revenue estimate shows an additional $320 dollars for the fiscal period.
Senate majority leader Rodney Tom of Medina says this means lawmakers should be able to come to an agreement on the state budget and end a months-long impasse.
The state government faces a shutdown if a budget deal isn’t reached by June 30th.
