OLYMPIA, Wash. – Despite glitches, the Washington Health Plan Finder website has helped more than 10,000 people sign up for insurance.

The site has had 800,000 hits since the October 1 launch.

Dorothy Bradshaw with the Whatcom Alliance for Health Advancement says they have 25 in person assistants ready to help anyone who needs guidance on www.wahealthplanfinder.org.

While the enrollment period is six months, the deadline to sign up for benefits that kick in by 2014 is December 23.

Bradshaw encourages people to sign up as early as possible so their applications can be processed and approved.
