MARYSVILLE, Wash. – A 14-year-old Marysville Middle School student is under suspension for the remainder of the school year after he simulated guns with his hands and pretended to shoot at fellow students.
The school district took the disciplinary action following the May 31 incident.
Hunter Lance’s mother acknowledges the offense took place, but tells KOMO-TV that suspending her son for two weeks was too harsh.
Assistant Schools Superintendent Gail Miller says the teen was suspended because of the incident and his history of issues at the school.
