BELLINGHAM, Wash. – A sudden heat wave will kick off summer in Northwest Washington.
Rufus LaLone with the Weather Café says there is potential for a 15 to 25 degree temperature jump later this week that might continue into next week.
LaLone says the Pacific Northwest always gets heat waves, but never a 15 to 25 degree jump in one week.
After the Fourth of July, temperatures will cool off a bit for the weekend before heating back up again.
He says that the forecast promises a relatively hot July.
