ARLINGTON, Wash. – Officials haven’t yet identified a ten-year-old boy who died yesterday after being pulled from the Stillaguamish River at a park near Arlington.

Police say the boy was visiting the river with family and friends, and was playing in the water without a life jacket when he got swept downstream.

Rescue crews pulled the boy from the river after he was spotted by crew aboard a Snohomish County Sheriff’s helicopter.

He died later at an Arlington hospital.
