OLYMPIA, Wash. – Washington’s top marijuana consultant is forecasting thousands of applicants for licenses to sell and produce the drug.
Mark Kleiman tells “The Olympian” he believes there will be “a ton” of people applying for the licenses.
The state Liquor Control Board says it will issue licenses for 334 marijuana retail outlets across Washington, but a Board spokesman says there will be no limit on the number of producers and processors.
The state plans to begin accepting applications on November 18.
