(Seattle, WA) — The U.S. Men’s National Team was sparkling in a 2-0 victory over Panama in a World Cup Qualifying match from CenturyLink Field in Seattle. Jozy Altidore buried a rebound into the back of the net in the 36th minute to give the USA the lead before halftime. Eddie Johnson capped the scoring with a strike in the 53rd minute. The win moves the Americans into first place in the CONCACAF qualifying standings with ten points overall. Mexico and Costa Rica played to a scoreless draw, leaving each tied for second place with eight points. Team USA’s next match is June 18th when it plays Honduras at Rio Tinto Stadium in Sandy, Utah.
