BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Visiting Nurse Home Care is closing its doors at the end of November.
Board President Barry Meyers says the impact should be minor for patients and staff.
He says almost all of the 150 caregivers and a majority of their administrative staff will be transitioned to Catholic Community Services.
He says they decided to shut down the organization because administrative costs were not being reimbursed and they couldn’t afford to continue services.
Visiting Nurse provides services such as housekeeping, running errands, and personal care to at home patients in Whatcom, Skagit, and Island counties.
