WASHINGTON STATE – A new report from the National Insurance Crime Bureau lists Washington state as one of the nation’s “hot spots” for car thefts.
The Yakima and Spokane metro areas are listed among the ten areas nationwide hardest-hit by vehicle thefts in 2012.
The NICB report says an average of 84 cars were stolen each day in Washington last year.
The Evergreen State is second only to California in the number of vehicle thefts, according to the report.
