Wedge interviews for Cubs managerial job

(Chicago, IL) — Eric Wedge is in the mix to be the next manager of the Chicago Cubs. ESPNChicago.com reports the former Seattle Mariners skipper interviewed for the position on Tuesday. AJ Hinch, Manny Acta, Rick Renteria [[ ren-teh-REE-uh ]] and Dave Martinez have also interviewed, with Red Sox coach Torey Lovullo [[ loh-VELL-oh ]] to get his chance after the World Series. Wedge was the 2007 American League Manager of the Year with Cleveland. He spent seven years as skipper of the Indians and the last three with the Mariners.
