BELLINGHAM, Wash. – A national ranking shows that Western Washington University produced more Fulbright Scholarship winners this year than any other public master’s granting college in the country.
The Fulbright Scholarship is a prestigious international exchange program sponsored by the U.S. government.
Western’s Fellowships Office Director Tom Moore says the ranking confirms that Western students can compete with anyone in the country.
Six western students won Fulbright scholarships this year and an additional three students won supplemental scholarships from the Fulbright Program.
Western finished third in the national ranking among all master’s granting universities, public or private.
