BELLINGHAM, Wash. – A Western Washington University student says she was sexually assaulted near campus.
The 22-year-old student reported being sexually assaulted by two men early Saturday morning.
Bellingham Police Sergeant Ken Brown says a friend of the victim contacted police.
He says the woman had been drinking downtown and was walking home alone when two men approached her and threw her to the ground and sexually assaulted her.
They were apparently scared by something and ran away.
Detectives are investigating.
