LYNDEN, Wash. – A repaving project on Hannegan Road south of Lynden is taking longer than expected due to the recent wet weather.
Project manager Jim Karcher says crews depend on a stretch of good weather to successfully finish repaving a road.
Whatcom Public Works and Granite Construction started the four mile repaving project in early August.
Crews took a week off during the Northwest Washington Fair and were expecting to complete the project sometime last month.
Karcher says they hope to finish the remaining work by the middle of this month, but that will depend on the weather.
