PORT ANGELES, Wash. – Whale watchers are out in force this holiday season and they haven’t been disappointed.
Wildlife officials say there are have been an unusual number of humpback whale and orca sightings in the Salish Sea this fall.
Orca pods have been ranging south through Puget Sound near Admiralty Inlet and President Point.
Wildlife officials say a spike in harbor seal populations may be the cause of increased orca activity.
