WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. – The Whatcom Alliance for Health Advancement will help people in Whatcom, Skagit, San Juan, Island and Snohomish counties sign up for the Washington State Health Insurance Exchange.
Director of WAHA, Dr. Elya Moore says the state’s exchange goes above and beyond what other states will offer.
The state exchange is set up like an online marketplace.
People can make ‘apples to apples’ comparisons to find out what health plan is best for you and if you qualify for any state assistance to help pay for it.
Moore says they will be helping around 118,000 uninsured people in Northwest Washington sign up starting in October.
