OLYMPIA, Wash. – Kirby Wilbur is leaving his job as Washington State Republican Party chairman to work with the conservative Young America’s Foundation in the nation’s capital.

Wilbur says he was offered a five-year contract to work with the foundation, whose purpose is to train the next generation of conservative leaders.

Wilbur was elected in 2011 to head the state GOP and won re-election earlier this year.
