KIRKLAND, Wash. – A Kirkland woman is riding her wheelchair to Oregon to raise money for Guide Dogs of America.

Tania Finlayson, who has cerebral palsy, began the 300-mile trip Friday morning in Everett, and says she’ll take the Seattle-to-Portland bicycle route most of the way.

Finlayson’s goal is to raise $42,000.

She’s being supported along the way by her family and a team from Machinists Union District Lodge 751 in Seattle.
