MUKILTEO, Wash. -Work is under way in Mukilteo on projects designed to stabilize areas prone to mudslides.
A BNSF Railway spokesman tells the Everett “Daily Herald” that railway and state personnel are reshaping a hillside near the border of Mukilteo and Everett, and another hillside on the south end of Mukilteo.
Mudslides in those areas have blocked waterfront railroad tracks in recent years.
BNSF officials say the work is expected to be completed in mid-October.
