WSP ‘tweeting’ in real time

KGMI News Reporting
By Karen Taylor

WASHINGTON STATE – People will be able to follow the Washington State Patrol as they ‘tweet’ everything that happens in real time tomorrow.

For 18 hours, troopers will document events to promote the hard-working people behind the wheels of the Crown Victorias patrolling the highways.

Captain Jeff DeVere of the Human Resources Division hopes it will also attract potential applicants who will be inspired to become a trooper.

The tweets will go out as #daywithwsp and will start at 6:00 a.m. and run until midnight.

If something exciting happens that can’t be fit into the allowed 140 characters on Twitter, it will be posted on the Washington State Patrol’s Facebook page.
