WTA holding kid art bus display contest

WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. – Local kids have a chance to get their artwork displayed on a Whatcom Transit Authority bus.

Maureen McCarthy with WTA says they will be holding an art contest for kids 10 and under in July at three local libraries.

Two winners from each location will be featured on the sides of a bus.

Each participant will have at least 15 minutes to create their artwork and all materials will be provided.

The events will be held at the Bellingham Public Library July 10 from noon to 2:00, at the Lynden Public Library July 25 from 11:30 to 1:30, and at the Ferndale Public Library July 30 from 2:30-to-4:30.
