BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Western Washington University has moved up in the U.S. News and World Report college rankings.

Western has become the highest ranking masters granting public school in the Pacific Northwest and second among public schools in the west.

That’s up from its rank at number three last year.

President Bruce Shepard says, “Western’s success is a direct result of the dedication, talent and inspiration of our faculty and staff.”

The honors come on the heels of Western moving up from 27th to 22nd among top master’s granting schools in the west among both private and public schools.
