BLAINE, Wash. – No recreational shellfish harvesting is allowed on beaches in northern Whatcom County.

The state Department of Health says tests show unsafe levels of a biotoxin.

The closure is from Point Whitehorn north to the Canadian border.

Clams, mussels, oysters and scallops are all off limits.
