BLAINE, Wash. – U.S. Customs and Border Protection is hiring.

It plans to hire an additional 2,000 officers in the next 12 months.

The goal is to enhance border security and reduce wait times.

The agency says former military are welcome and they’re also looking for more women and minorities.
