Diamond Dawgs win series over Stanford

The ninth-ranked University of Washington baseball team took two of three in their weekend series with the Stanford Cardinal at Husky Ballpark.

The Huskies, (24-7-1, 12-3), defeated the Cardinal 6-1 in the series opener on Friday and 7-2 on Saturday before falling on Sunday 6-3.

Washington has now won all five Pac-12 series this season and have won 21 out of their last 24 games.

The Huskies remain in first place in the Pac-12 with a one game lead over Oregon State.

Washington battles Northern Colorado on Monday at Husky Ballpark with the first pitch at 5 p.m.
